Daffies Down

clix :|~|: pix

"Earth's crammed with heaven...
And every common bush__ afire with GOD;
But only he who sees, takes off his shoes...
The rest sit round it & pluck blackberries!"

This photo is really great. Love the bird tracks, but also the way the shadows turn what could have been blinding white snow into a wavy combination of textures. I tried to get a picture of grass growing through sublimating snow at twilight last year and got nothing this good. Thank you for sharing. Hey, do you know the poetry of Gerard Manley Hopkins? I bet you would like him.

Thanks for GM Hopkins... I bet you are right! I'll send you a link when I use him the 1st time. :) and I just learned something new today about a bees genetic relation to, of all things, islands! How island flowers helped create the faithfulness in our beloved honey bee! I'm over due for a visit your wonderful site... nice 2CU&later, ~(:-_))-kfh
